We attended the August 19th NECC meeting to provide an update on our process, including a summary of our visit to the Federation of Community Councils at their regular meeting in August, and the information that we presented to them. For a summary of this, see our August 18th update below.
Council members in attendance wanted us to:
- Consider infrastructure first – like restrooms, water and sewer service
- Think about reopening the campgrounds – members noted that during recent softball tournament events, campers were parked on the grounds for the duration of the event.
- Try to make the park what we want
- Consider ways to make the park generate revenue
- Mitigate homeless use of the park
