Would you please add to "Related Files" or on the main page of the blog a comprehensive statement of the scope of this project? Probably the best document would be a copy of the contract between the MOA and Corvus that describes the work. Presumably that document is readily available and can be posted prior to the upcoming community meetings. - David Evans (response: a project scope is now available in via the 'related files' link at the top and right of this page)
I believe that better access to the north side of the park could be included in the improvements. Many people using the 6th avenue side of the park have to walk in the street to either reach the northeast side of the park from the Boniface area or to reach the dog park area from the Pine street area. Alternatively, people walk on the north edge of the park adjacent to 6th avenue, but there is no sidewalk or walking path there and much of that area is choked with weeds and bushes. Therefore, I propose that the north side of the park between Boniface and Pine street be improved with a walking path and appropriate landscaping to provide ease of access and to keep park users out of the street. This would be a great improvement and would provide better pedestrian access to the park from many of the areas north of 6th avenue between Pine street and Boniface. - Clyde Hutchins>
